17yr. old Scotty McCreery from Garner, NC won the 10th season of American Idol. With his unusually deep bass voice in one so young, he captured the hearts of voters to ultimately win in one of the most hotly debated Idol seasons in history! He is very out spoken about his Christian faith and says he would like to include a Christian song on his upcoming debut album. He says he looks up to Josh Turner and his faith. McCreery sang the Turner song ‘Your Man’ not once, but twice during his audition period. McCreery says he would like to one day have a Christian wife. Wearing an “I am second” wrist band, he continually displayed his faith throughout the competition. He plans to keep singing country music and says he won’t allow Hollywood to change him.
